What makes a funding narrative decision-ready?

A practical framework for connecting need, approach, evidence, and measurable value.

A strong funding narrative does more than describe worthy work. It helps a reviewer make a confident decision. Start with the decision criteria, connect each claim to evidence, make the causal logic visible, and remove detail that does not change the assessment.

The strongest narratives align four elements: a specific unmet need, a credible mechanism for change, evidence that the team can deliver, and outcomes that matter to the funder and the people served.
